GSS-D Type based on 2 blowers
GSS-D is an active system that removes mixtures of anesthetic gases from operating rooms and any other rooms equipped with nitrous oxide termination devices. Thus, the removal of gases eliminates possible long-term risks to the health of medical personnel.
If routine preventive maintenance or a breakdown of the blower can disrupt the smooth operation of a medical facility or production department, it is strongly recommended to use systems with two GSS-BD blowers.
In the event of a malfunction of one blower, the second one remains in operation, ensuring that the GSS-BD system continues to provide protection for medical personnel, and that operations do not need to be postponed or canceled.
Improvements in the design of anesthesia workstations have led to a reduction in the gas flows used and, consequently, less potential "spill" of gas during induction and maintenance of anesthesia.
The table below compares the three main standards used for anaesthetic gas removal systems.
Standard | ΔP | Capacity, l/min |
---|---|---|
BS 6834: 1987 | 1 | Max 130 |
4 | Min 80 | |
EN ISO 7396-2 - High Flow | 1 | Max 80 |
2 | Min 50 | |
EN ISO 7396-2 - Low Flow | 1 | Max 50 |
2 | Min 25 |
The GSS-BS and GSS-BD systems comply with the requirements of HTM 2022, HTM 02-01 and ISO 7396-2 standards.
